Criminal Intelligence Service Alberta has developed four primary goals to enable its ability to meet the mandate of CISA.

1. Contribute to the Alberta Government's Safe Communities Initiative by addressing the impact that organized and serious crime is having on our communities.

2. Encourage and support collaborative and integrated relationships both provincially and nationally with law enforcement, government, private industry, non-government organizations and the public.

3. Support investigative and intelligence units through the facilitation of accurate and timely information and intelligence as well as analytical products.

4. Support law enforcement and government strategic planning through the production of environmental scans and other analytical products on organized and serious crime.
