February 1, 2012 ALERT charges seven in Medicine Hat drug trafficking investigation Medicine Hat… ALERT‘s Medicine Hat Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU), an integrated team of Medicine Hat Police Service and RCMP members, concluded a drug trafficking investigation on January 31 with charges against seven individuals.During the investigation, CFSEU-Medicine Hat determined that drugs were being sold from a residence in the Dominion Street SE area of Medicine Hat. A search warrant was executed on a residence where officers seized 37.5 grams of crack cocaine with an estimated street value of $7,500, as well as $6,300 cash. Arrested and charged are:
Hasen, Maerkl and Samantar made court appearances on February 1. Schroeder and Kerow will make their court appearances on February 7, while Donald and Kabille will appear on February 28. All court appearances will be in Medicine Hat. CFSEU-Medicine Hat is an ALERT team established and funded by the Government of Alberta to bring together the province’s most sophisticated law enforcement resources and tools to combat organized crime.
