Drug bust leads to over 30 charges against seven Hinton residents

Grande Prairie…ALERT’s Grande Prairie Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU) teamed up with the Hinton RCMP Detachment to tackle street-level drug trafficking in the Hinton area.

In late March, with help from CFSEU-Edmonton and RCMP, police executed search warrants at two Hinton residences. During this investigation, police seized various quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine and marihuana.

As a result, the following Hinton residents are charged:

  • George MEUNIER, 65, is charged with three counts of trafficking cocaine, one count of possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, and three counts of possession of property obtained by crime;
  • Lance KREYE, 28, is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cannabis marihuana, possession of property obtained by crime, and fail to comply with a probation order;
  • Damien WOLLENBERG, 27, is charged with two counts of trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marihuana, three counts of possession of property obtained by crime, and obstructing a peace officer;
  • Allanah LEBLUE, 19, is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marihuana, and possession of property obtained by crime;
  • Connor PRUDEN, 23, is charged with possession of marihuana for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime;
  • Jonathan EVANS, 21, is charged with two counts each of trafficking cocaine and possession of property obtained by crime; and
  • Amber FREEHILL, 22, is charged with three counts of trafficking methamphetamine, and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime.

The investigation is ongoing and police anticipate further arrests and charges.
