Medicine Hat… A pair of Medicine Hat residents are facing drug and weapons related charges following a short-term investigation by ALERT Medicine Hat Police Service (MHPS).
Mason Litowsky, 23, and Anna Canning, 22, were arrested by ALERT Medicine Hat Police Service on March 18. The arrest coincided with a search warrant being executed at a home in the 500-block of 3 Street Southeast, where police seized weapons and drugs.
ALERT Medicine Hat Police Service seized over $10,000 worth of cash and drugs, including:
- 24 grams of cocaine;
- 23 grams of crack cocaine;
- 7.5 grams of heroin;
- 10.5 grams of methamphetamine;
- $5,000 cash proceeds of crime.
Two weapons were seized, including a stun gun and a walking cane with a concealed knife.
Litowsky is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (x 4), breach of recognizance (x 4), carry a concealed weapon (x 2), possession of a weapon dangerous to the public (x 2), possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of proceeds of crime.
Canning is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (x 2), drug possession, and possession of proceeds of crime.
Litowsky is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on March 24. Canning was released on her own recognizance and is expected back in court on March 31.
