Medicine Hat Pair Facing Drug Charges after Traffic Stop

Medicine Hat… Nearly $30,000 worth of cocaine and marihuana were seized following the arrest of two people by Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT).

ALERT Medicine Hat intercepted 224 grams of cocaine and 521 grams of marihuana after completing a traffic stop on the Trans Canada Highway near Brooks, Alta. The seizure occurred on June 12th and investigators believe the drugs were destined for Medicine Hat.

Two Medicine Hat residents were arrested and are scheduled to appear in court on June 17th. Jeremiah Amero, 23, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (x 2) and breach of recognizance (x 5), and Jenna Morton, 19, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (x 2).
